Can we get update on container live location?

No, this is for the safety of your containers from possible hijacking. However, the progress of the containers will be updated and can be viewed via our platform.

Will there be waiting charges if the haulier need to wait ?

Yes, there will be standard waiting charges incur and it will be shown on system upon booking.

In the event that the Haulier does not arrive by the predetermined hour (i.e. by office hours) which caused my customer to wait, will there be any penalty toward Haulier service provider since this delay would require overtime arrangements at my customer's end?

As per current market’s practice, haulier will not liable for charges due to unforeseen circumstances (such as road traffic, port system, port congestion, custom system and weather).

Are your insurance company reliable?

Yes, we are working with 2 international insurance company – Chubb Insurance and Lonpac Insurance.

Will Grab Haulier ensure that my jobs will be taken up by the Haulier?

Whilst we are unable to guarantee that the job will be grabbed, we trust that an unfulfilled post is an unlikely event that would occur. This is due to the multiple haulier partners that we have on the Grab Haulier platform.

Are there any charges that the freight forwarder has to pay for use the Grab Haulier platform?

This platform is absolutely free at ZERO charges. Hence, speak to us today of how we can help you grow your business at ZERO cost.

Are the surcharges negotiable ?

Yes, Grab Haulier may review on a case to case basis.

Will there be waiting charges?

After posting the job, how quickly will I be notified that it has been taken up?

Once the job is posted on our platform, our community of registered hauliers gets notified of the offered jobs that need to be hauled. The uptake of the job may vary from almost immediately and up to 4 hours, subject to the hauliers’ capacity and availability.

Will GrabHaulier accept any illegal cargo?

We strictly do not accept any cargo or documents which are illegal or under fraud.

What should we do if the container is damaged?

Either party can take photos and upload via Grab Haulier system. This will assist or prevent any future claim.

How does Grab Haulier handle K8 shipment?

Kindly provide the gate pass under the haulier port code and give clear instruction under the remark column with the custom personnel’s contact number. As for seal and break seal, timing and date must be specified clearly and provided beforehand.

How is the pricing for each job determined on the Grab Haulier platform?

The quotation of a job is generated in the system based on the inputs provided by the freight forwarder and formulated on market-based pricing.

When should the freight forwarder provide the port gate pass?

The port gate pass has to be provided 24 hours in advance.

How much is the insurance coverage from haulier if shipper/consignee do not have insurance ?

Haulier’s insurance is bound to  Association of Malaysian Hauliers’ terms and conditions. The amount of compensation for a case shall not exceed RM 3.00 per kg gross weight of the goods and container or RM 100,000 per claim, whichever is lower.

Without signing up to the GH platform, can we use the platform and the app?

The GH services are only for registered users, which requires registration through our signup portal or speak to our friendly sales staff.

How does Grab Haulier improve a haulier's business?

What happens if haulier takes the posted job and the freight forwarder decides to cancel it?

There will be cancellation charges based Grab Haulier’s cancellation policy.

What should we do if the container is damaged?

Either party can take photos and upload via Grab Haulier system. This will assist or prevent any future claim.

What happens if the depot is unable to accept the container?

Haulier may contact the freight forwards to inform this issue and make a report via Grab Haulier system. The freight forwarder has to resolve the issue with the shipping line.

What should we do if the container number is not updated into the port system?

Haulier may contact freight forwarder to remind them to update the container number into the port system and make a report via Grab Haulier system.

How do Grab Haulier handle K8 shipment?

Kindly provide the gate pass under the haulier port code and give clear instruction under the remark column with the custom personnel’s contact number. As for seal and break seal, timing and date must be specified clearly and provided beforehand.

What if depot has no unit for export container?

The driver has to take a photo as proof that he has arrived the depot, and show CN that no unit available. The driver has to inform the haulier company’s admin, and the admin will inform the freight forwarder to resolve this issue immediately. Diversion charges will be applied if the depot area is different.

What happens if the delivery designation is closed and the driver is unable to make the delivery?

If the delivery destination is closed, the driver ought to contact the freight forwarder and take a photo via the Grab Haulier app. Haulier may also contact the freight forwarder and make a report via the Grab Haulier system.

How should the premises be categorized: secure premises or non-secure premises?

Gated with security guard is classified as secure premises.

Will haulier company get the payment if freight forwarder doesn’t pay Grab Haulier on time?

Yes, Grab Haulier may issue a bank guarantee when necessary.

What happens if the vessel was delayed from the actual date without being informed to Grab Haulier?

Either party have to check the container status from time to time.  This occurrence would be beyond all party control except for liner.

Where can haulier obtain the necessary documentation for the pick-up of the container from the port?

Freight forwarder has to upload the gate pass as well as the necessary shipping documents via Grab Haulier system. Haulier company may extract the needed information from the Grab Haulier system.

Which party should be issuing the consignment note (CN)? Would it be Haulier, Freight Forwarder or Grab Haulier?

Haulier should apply their own company’s consignment note.

Can the haulier company change depot?

It is advisable to follow gatepass details. However, the change is possible subject to the approval by the liner and freight forwarder.
